Ridin' the Range: It's all in the look

You may think the pictures a little goofy but it is all Chance. This is what I see in this picture:

Innocense, Love, excitement, mischief, curiosity, eagerness, tolerance, trust, humor, desire, stubborness and a little fear. It's all in there.

Chance just turned three. What a character. Common phrases we hear about this little guy are:

" Boy I wish I had his energy", "He sure loves life dosen't he?", "Life isn't going to be dull for you is it?" We sure love having Chance. Life would be boring with out a little chance in it.

Grown Cowmen

I'm not a country girl I was city born and bred
But a cowboy chose me for his wife so I've learnt rural ways instead.
He must a thought I'd do O.K. when he Chose to tie the knot,
Cause I sure aint nothin' special, But look at what I got!
I got a man to raise my boys and teach them how to live
By raising cows and sheep and such. Some may think it primitive.
But let me tell you what I've learned in this ranchin' moms career.
When raisin' boys nothins better than a workin atmosphere.
Like that day we blew them dudes away, They was on a nature trek
When they came upon our cow herd and spooked 'em near to heck
Here they came right straight at us in their fancy nissan truck
and our cows was being stubborn and just wouldn't light a shuck.
Now I was on a horse that day and so were my to sons
One was six and one was seven and we was wishing we had guns.
Cause we were pushing cows that day and I mean it literally
And ornery bovine aint much cause for acting cheerily.
But we eased them cows on by those dudes and shoved 'em round the bend.
Then that herd started moving fast and our pushin' met its end,
Cause they cut loose and headed south and we just let 'em go
and those dudes they drove on by us after watchin our little show.
We watched their truck drive down the road and stop by my boys dad
And when he met up with us for lunch he told us what they'd said.
See Dad was comin' up the road in our beat up little jeep
Cause my little girl was plumb wore out and thats where she was asleep.
He said those dudes had stopped him wonderin' who those cowBOYS were
They'd said they'd seen all those great big cows and figured they knew sure
That once they got on through the herd and out the other side
They'd run into some grown cowmen with ruff and suntanned hide.
They said they couldn't believe it when they got out the other end
And there were two little cowboys doin the job of 4 or 5 men.
Well' Dad he didn't say much he just nodded and kept on coming
But I'm sure as we finished pushing those cows that he was just a hummin'
Cause there was a button missin' off his shirt noticed only by me
And that man was just as proud as I think I'll ever see him be!
So always give me primitive, and a workin' atmosphere
And don't think I won't always fight to keep my cowboys here.
